COURSE OVERVIEW
Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is becoming a critical skill for leaders.  Research has shown that 90% of high performers possess high emotional intelligence.  Traditionally, many managers have been promoted because of their technical/functional skills and for their dedicated service to their organisations.  However, with a newer generation of a younger and more diversified group of employees, many of these leaders who are not trained in EQ skills, face difficulties in engaging and motivating their employees to perform.
Emotional Intelligence LeadershipEmotional Intelligence is the ability to understand and manage our own emotions, and the emotions of others around us.  It is a set of emotional, social and relational skills that guides the way we perceive, understand and express ourselves; connect with others; manage interpersonal communication and cope with challenges.  EQ skills can be learned, developed and augmented.
