Certified Airport Master Planning Professional

NAME OF THE COURSE
Airport Master Planning

CERTIFICATION
Certified Airport Master Planning Professional

COURSE OVERVIEW

A master plan represents the strategic vision of an airport’s future development, based on the predicted demand, existing infrastructural assets (airside and landside), possible extensions options, and numerous other considerations (environmental, political, financial and regulatory).

The main challenge of developing a sound master plan is to achieve a flexible, expandable and modular design to react to changes in terms of demand or airline requirements.

A master plan is linked with the airport’s business plan and can be a powerful communication instrument to the involved shareholders and stakeholders. It defines a set of commonly agreed principles by which future development will be brought forward.
